My project has not only helped me to meet some great people and to learn more about my new home, It’s also shown me how proud Pittsburghers are of their city! I’ve had such a great response to this and have been chuffed with the amount of people who want to get involved, it’s brilliant!
I have three local fashion bloggers (Madison, Christine and Kim) helping to run our #stylishpittsburgh facebook page and, thanks to a collaboration with local social media expert Tori, #stylishpittsburgh is going to have it's very own proclamation!
28th July is now #StylishPittsburgh Day! And on this day each year we will...
- Celebrate Pittsburgh’s unique and diverse style with a social media campaign
- Celebrate local designers/makers and their contribution to Pittsburgh’s style, individuality, and ever growing entrepreneurial spirit that supports the growth of the local economy
- Mark the beginning of Shadyside and Lawrenceville Annual Sidewalk Sales that make style affordable, with the potential scope to reach out across the city and build a city-wide movement
- Share and promote the contribution that Pittsburgh’s diverse communities have on the vibrancy and confidence of our city through the individual cultures, traditions and style of Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods
This is a day for everyone to celebrate style, share their passion, and promote upcoming events. We’ll be showcasing the leaders and trail blazers in the many diverse neighborhoods and businesses who bring style to our city
We would LOVE it if you would get involved and help us celebrate #stylishpittsburgh by sharing your outfits on the day on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, with the #stylishpittsburgh! Let’s try and change the misconceptions that Pittsburgh lacks style and shout about how great our city and it’s style really is!
