Today I’m doing something a little different, I’m taking part in the Wear to Where blog tour which will see almost 40 bloggers – fashion and sewing - pulling together outfits or making them (yes some people have actually made their entire outfits!) for a whole range of themes from date night in, to sightseeing. As I already share work-wear, weekend wear and evening outfits every fortnight, I thought I’d opt for something else and share what I like to wear when I’m working in my local coffee shop.
Sweater - Urban Outfitters / Jeans - J Brand / Cape - Warehouse / Boots - Urban outfitters / Bag - freebie from Bristol Fashion Week. |
When I’m not out with my clients, I spend most of my time working from my office at home. I love working from home but it can get a little lonely sometimes, so I’ll often pop to the local coffee shop to be among people (and drink great coffee!). There are quite few little coffee shops in Southside, but my favorite is Big Dog Coffee, it’s a stone’s throw from my apartment so it takes no time at all to get there.
It has such a warm and friendly atmosphere and it’s usually full of other people working away so I don't feel uncomfortable working away. There are some things I struggle to work on anywhere but my in own space, like writing blog posts and articles. But if I'm writing up reports for my clients or pulling together look books for my online styling, then it’s perfect.
When I’m spending a lot of time sitting down, I like to wear comfortable clothing and layers. This is pretty much my go to outfit at the moment, the jeans are tight but they have so much stretch in them which makes them super comfortable. The sweater is slightly cropped so isn’t too bulky and the cape – well, I pretty much wear this every day it’s the perfect layer for when it gets a little chilly.
