Travel // Goa

Goa is only a short hop from Bangalore, in fact it only takes an hour to fly there and it costs about the same as a return ticket from Bristol to London – AMAZING!

There isn’t a whole heap to do there but that’s just perfect as we go there to do absolutely nothing. It never fails to amaze me how beautiful and calming it is there, I feel so very lucky to be able to get away to this little paradise so easily and will miss it like crazy when we leave.

We've been to Goa about 5 times while we've been in India, and each time we go back to the south.  We visited north Goa when we back-packed around the country back in 2002 but left earlier than planned and vowed never to return (the streets were lined with British style pubs serving cooked breakfasts - we were in India to experience something different!).  South Goa, unlike the north of the state, still has areas which are relatively untouched and still beautiful.
