3 WAYS TO WEAR // FLORAL, NECK-TIE BLOUSE

This weeks featured item is this versatile, sleeveless, ruffle blouse.  I know I bang on about versatile pieces, but you all know that versatility is key to creating a hard working capsule collection, and creating a capsule collection of clothes is what I do!  As illustrated in the following three outfits, it's the perfect piece for the office, a night out and a relaxing weekend at home; it really will work hard to earn it's place in your collection.  I don't think there is a client of mine who doesn't have one or two in their closet!

It's the pretty neck-tie and soft ruffles which attracted me to this blouse, not only do they both flatter my pear shape but they're also two big trends for the coming season, that's a lot of box ticking right there!    This outfit is perfect for the office, but if you throw a chunky cardigan on top, it would make a cozy weekend outfit.

I love to mix feminine prints and shapes with edgier items like these faux leather pants and studded sandals. This time I've loosely tied the neck-tie at the front for a more relaxed look.  The watch I'm wearing here is this beautiful, ebony, wooden watch* by JORD Wood Watches.  It's been a while (well over a year in fact) since I've worn a watch as I've struggled to find one that's versatile, that marries with my style, and sits along side my accessories but this watch does that!  It looks just at home with a dressy look as it does a casual one and the matte black wooden strap feels like a bangle and sits perfectly alongside the stack of Indian bracelets that I wear almost everyday.

With fall right around the corner, I thought I'd illustrate a simple way to take a sleeveless blouse into the cooler months.  If you're busty this may not be a great look for you as it can be a little unflattering, make you look and feel a little frumpy, but if you're smaller like me it's perfect!
