GET THE LOOK // MATCHING SEPERATES

Hi!  I hope you’ve all had a great week!  I want to say a BIG thank you to those of you who took the time to respond to my recent post asking what you’d like to see more of on Style Studs and Lace.  It’s thrown up some great suggestions and the majority of you said that you’d like to read more wardrobe maintenance/organizing posts and would like to see me include more information on dressing for different body shapes.  I also wanted to know if you would find a ‘shop my outfits’ post useful and the general consensus was yes!  So I’m going to switch things up a little this weekend and trial a new style of post.  And if it goes down well with you and you think it’s useful then it will become a regular feature.

The idea is that each weekend I’ll pull together a selection of items from the high-street to which you can apply the same principles of my most recent Three Ways to Wear.  I’ll share a range of different options, for all body shapes, so there will be something that works for you.  I'll even throw in a few tips on how you might style them!

I’m pretty excited about creating content that’s more in line with what you want to read and I hope you like it!   So, here's my first Shop the Look post! Simply scroll down past the outfits and click the links to shop the look!

    DOUBLE GRID

    1.  APIECE APART, RUFFLE SLEEVE TOP // APIECE APART, 'TAIYANA WABI' WIDE LEG CROP PANTS
I love this combination, it's the perfect team for a special event. The beauty about buying separates for such an occasion is that you can split them up, dress them down, and wear them again, casually.  If you're pear shaped like me, then this is the perfect outfit!  The top will broaden narrow shoulders and the wide leg will skim beautifully over hips.  Tuck the top in for maximum flattery.

    2.  STENCIL FLORAL TIE BACK TOP // STENCIL FLORAL SKIRT
This is the outfit I wore in the feature.  Both are reduced now so if you hurry you'll be able to grab yourself a bargain! This outfit suits most shapes, from curvy to straight up and down as the cut of both pieces will enhance curves.
Well, these two are a perfect match!  Asymmetric silhouettes are a big trend this season so if you like to follow trends, or have a soft spot for asymmetric shapes, then this is for you!  As for splitting it up, I'd love to see the skirt teamed with a sweater and pointy ankle boots, and the top with a pair of cropped pants and metallic loafers.
This pair are more casual than the other outfits, but can easily be dresses up by adding a pair of heels and a stack of bracelets.  They can be split up and worn for both work and home and are the perfect choice for most shapes.  However, I'd probably suggest avoiding this outfit if you're busty as the high neck and short sleeves will probably make you look bigger than you are.

This combination is perfect for pear, hourglass and column shapes!  If your busty, unbutton the shirt a little and for extra enhancement, tuck the shirt into the skirt.  Try splitting the outfit up and teaming the top with cropped, frayed denim and slip ons.  The skirt will look great with a leather jacket and and a pair of peep toe booties!

This is part of Oasis's V&A collection.  The print is inspired by the archives at London's Victoria and Albert Museum, and it's blinding! I love how bomber jackets inject a little attitude and love the idea of teaming one with a matching skirt.  This outfit will suit most shapes, but if you're bigger on the top than the bottom, I'd recommend undoing the jacket slightly to break up the line across the bust.
Hourglass girls, this is for you!  If you tuck the shirt into the skirt, and add a belt round the waist band, it will do wonders for your shape!  To split it up, simply wear the shirt with jeans or a leather skirt and try wearing the skirt with a tailored jacket for work, or a light knit and kicks for the weekend.

These two pieces, together, create a gorgeous dress in a beautiful combination of ruffles, pleats and sheer layers.  I'd love to see the blouse worn over faux leather pants with velvet booties and the skirt with a soft cashmere sweater and strappy heels.

      9.   STRIPE SCALLOP TOP & SKIRT
This is such a cute combination! If you have a great pair of pins then this is the perfect outfit to show them off in. It would look great worn with either a flat ankle boots or heels and can easily be split up to create looks for both day and night; it's a pretty versatile option!
